Piermont Retreat is a unique resort located in the Tasmanian wilderness offering boutique accommodation.

Skills Media were asked to create a website for Piermont Retreat that:

1. Visually conveys Piermont's unique beauty to website visitors.
2. Encourages website visitors to contact Piermont Retreat to make an accommodation booking enquiry.

Solution

Skills Media used imagery within the Piermont website to convey the unique feel of the Retreat. An image gallery is used so that website visitors can look through the library of images of the retreat.

The Piermont Retreat website was redeveloped using XHTML 1.0 strict and tableless CSS to make it Standards Compliant. This enabled Search Engine robots and spiders to access ALL the text within the website.

Search Engine Optimisation was then conducted by Skills Media to ensure that the websites pages were targeting all keyword search terms.

The Piermont Retreat website was integrated with the SkillsEDIT website content management system to enable Piermont to update their website content in house 24/7. This gives Piermont management the ability to add promotions to the website immediately without the need to rely on the availability of website designers.

Outcome

The re-design and development of the new Piermont Retreat has seen their unique monthly website visits increase by over 700%! This has in turn generated many more accommodation booking enquiries via the website which has increased their bookings tremendously - even during their traditionally quiet period.
